My wife and son are visiting with her sisters and the kids down in North Carolina. They rented a beach house for the week. They just e-mailed me some photos off my sons laptop. This is my son Matt, 17, on the left, with his older cousin, Scott. Some people say they look alike, even though Scott is a redhead. What do y'all think? Is there a resemblance?

Looks like they could be fraternal twins. I vote yes.

Being married to a 'twin' myself, I too agree, that is about as close as you can get....wow
should make for some interesting events........

No little DeathGrips here, I regret that. You are a fortunate man.

Deathgrip,

We only have the one boy. Sometimes I regret not having another kid so that he wouldn't be an only child. But, I'm really happy that he has a LOT of friends...I think that's important in life.

I can't tell you anything except that family is very important and it looks like those two enjoy the company. Try your hardest to keep it that way.

Hey G-Mac,

I definitely see the resemblance.

Oh that "regret" of not having another kid, don't be too hard on yourself for that.....we sometimes regret not having any :(
Some days it bothers me to no end that we had no kids, and then others I am thankful we did not. Is that selfish? My better half would have been an exceptional Dad (IMO of course) but he said you don't start having kids when you are 40(+) He was more adamant than I that no babies happened.

A couple fine looking young men Gordy! And yes, they look more like brothers than cousins! My son is an only child too. He also grew up with a lot of friends, and now has 3 kids of his own. I'm not too sure I could have handled more than one! Now I can set back and smile, while he finds out just what it takes to raise a child! It ain't easy, especially now adays!

Thanks Barb...

They look uncannily alike! And they look like best friends too.

Always appreciate your comments...have come to realize over the years that you're usually (if not always) right! :)

They do get along well even though there is an age difference...Matt is entering his senior year in high school; Scott is an SU graduate, now working on his Masters.

They're both smart, athletic, play guitar, and have similar outgoing personalities.

I'm proud of both of them. :)

Edit...gunlovingirl, we were posting at the same time...thank you too for the kind words. :) We'll get that pre-17 right out to ya! Sold the other one too...I'll miss them, but I still have a few .22 pistols around here somewhere! ;)
