Do you try to "make" people?

"Shoot Me First" list:

1. fanny packers
2. camera vesters
3. hawaiian shirters
4. untucked button downers
5. sport coaters
6. bra wearers (Barb's post tipped me to this one)
7. wilderness tactical belters
8. shoulder baggers

Who'd I leave out?

Out West

Burqas and turbans.

It does make walking down the side walk a pain, trying not to trip over all those dead idiots. They would be the ones wearing stuff on the "the shoot me first" list, you know the ones that "scream" I have a gun. I wall papered two rooms with all the news clippings about them.
Sadly, trying to step over these poor folks takes away from my ability to "make people".

I look more for suspicious activity and actions of a person. Kinda like CJofWolfcreek put it....I look for the person looking for prey. I try to look for the gun because of my job but find myself looking more for the actions of the person than the print of the gun.

funny story on CC was when i was using the toilet at a local zoo and the poor guy in the stall next to me must of dropped his pants without thinking about the Walther's PPK he had in them. It came skating across the floor to me in my stall. I just shoved it back under the stall at the same time saying " I think you lost this.." wish i could have seen the look on his face.

re: "a contingent of "helpful" males and who was trying to stuff a Glock 26 into a new ankle holster"

....are ya sure THAT'S what they were trying to stuff?.....

Yea, I "made" a guy in a jewelry store once. He was wearing an untucked Hawaiian shirt, oh yes, and it just seemed out of place. But as others have mentioned it was more his mannerisms and body language. The guy then picked up that I "made" him and his body language language went on "alert" and he zeroed me with his eyes. I'm 99% sure he was plainclothes security.
