I'm a news junkie and am on numerous financial/news websites. I never saw the significance of twitter - nothing but soundbites and one liners with much repetition mostly from posters as full of bull as I am. ;)

Joe Blow's comments were mildly entertaining when Lucianne-com first started with them back in y2k but actual pearls of wisdom are rare and the joe 6pak entertainment value has become boring now that every forum is doing it. Very few original thoughts in this world.

As far as financial advice I've done as well on this forum as anyplace. 1morethan8, may he rip, was a very savvy forum member from Smokey Mtns who had keen insights. He mentioned GW pharma. I did research and bought. Stock went up 10x and was bought out by Jazz pharma, mostly cash but some stock and it is doing well.

And then there were several forum members who invested in SWHC back in 05,06,07... $3-5 a share - Was like a money tree and we all fattened up. And in 05-08 you could buy about any N frame in the gunshow for $400 and now they are bringing $1500 and up.

I'm not sure where Musk is going with twitter and I have no Tesla stock - I have been touted since pre split days by people whose opinion I respect but I haven't dipped my toe in yet.

I expect Musk sees synergy with starlink/tesla/twitter but I don't see it and I'm happy with my stack of dividend aristocrat stocks that pay me 4 times a year. :)

Have never tweeted-have no idea how to do so but I might have to learn-or at least buy some stock.
I wonder if Elion Musk is going after the Forum next???

Nope. Never have. I think Musk is interested in things that need fixing. I think we're all good here.

No Tweet,,no Bookface,,no text'g, I hate the telephone, l let the ans machine pick it up.
Don't have a cell phone, but admit my wife gives me her phone if I am about to wander too far away from home.
I used to like watching some of the News on TV,,but that is just plain annoying now.

I like existing in my shop/cave. Make stuff, Listen to XM in the background.

No.

My preferred mode of communication are lengthy discussions of topics with depth, frequently using more words than necessary to sound even more erudite than I already am. ;)

Tweets (and instagram, snapchat etc.) are pretty much the exact opposite of that.

The closest I come is passive Facebook, which means I have an account, and a few hundred friends. But I never post anything and just use it to keep updated on a bunch of people's lives I care about to various degrees, but am not necessarily in contact with.

Absolutely Not
