Actually, what I am going for is a complete collection of 27-2's in all barrel lengths in nickle-I've got a 4", a 5" just missed on a 3.5" am in the hunt for an 83/8. Why I don't know other than I like the way they look.
Does anyone collect a certain caliber or finish?

Pre 1970 22's Pistols and Rifles, 7.62x51/308 Rifles and K Frames. I prefer Blued over SS and Mint Nickle over both, which is next to impossible to find.

Pre-lock .38 Spls/.357 Mags. At this point, stainless or blue/nickel, doesn't matter. Got a 10-7 standard bbl., so want a 64 standard. Got a 13-2 nickel and 65-3 HBs, so I'm done there. But got a 66 4", so don't really need a 19 4" and have a 4" 67, so would like to get a 2" 15. Kinda' all over the map w/a little focus.

Pre lock 44 mags in blue, I have doubles and some even triples of different barrel lengths, I just can't pass them up! my favorites are the 4" with the 6.5" being next, and they have to be in the pres. boxes! Nothing looks better than opening the safe and seeing stacks of wood boxes
. On the other hand I am really starting to get into Mod 10's with the pencil barrel just something nostalgic about them.
Mostly .38sp/.357mag & .44mags. No regulatory finish as I like all of 'em

I like them all, from the oldest to the brand new one. I have a 1899 32/20 target that less than 100 was made to a new REG. MAG. that only 250 was made. Blue, Nickle, Stainless and "NO" TUPPERWARE, I have one blued gun that I shoot and the rest are stainless. Out of 200+ S&W's I shoot 4 and the rest are QUEENS. They range from a 22 to a 460. After I get done with my 686 project, I'm going to have a 460 cut for moon clips so I can shoot 460, 454, 45 colt, 45 acp, 45 Schofield, and 45 gap in it.

Of course I love em now that I have em, but I now have three model 14's. One I planned on, then shortly after I got the first one I found another one so cheap I couldn't let it pass. Well now that I had two 6'' 14's I had to have an 8 3/8, model 14. Well I found a good deal and won one this week on gunbroker, haven't got it yet.
They all rest easy at night next to the model 52.
I have the four 38's now and really have no desire for a 357. I have my 629 to take care of my testosterone levels.

Collect anything in Smith's from .22 Short right up to .455.Probly have more in the .38 cal range..
I only have one blue Smith, the rest are nickel. I have thought about getting the black sheep redone, but it is a 25-5 and it just looks good in blue.

I like all of the prelocks.I am at a point in my collection now that if the finish is not in really good shape I very seldom even take it out of the display.

I find myself drawn to revolvers with a barrel shorter than 4". It doesn't matter if it's J,K,L or N frame, blue, nickel or stainless.
