does anyone open car doors for the ladys?

I always hold the door for a woman.

Car doors, doors entering and exiting buildings, doors in buildings.

On a couple of occasions, this has flustered my younger office staff since these common courtesies are uncommonly experienced by younger women.

I don't wear a hat indoors either.

I was taught to always open doors for the ladies, but now I get a mix of "thank yous" and indignant looks. I am obviously too old to have any motives other than courtesy. Why do some women resent this courtesy?

Modern feminism. Old school chivalry and and old school gender roles basically, simply being a man is highly toxic to them.

Always do for my wife, mother and daughters. It is proper and they have earned that respect.

I do also for customers unless they are acting like entitled, arrogant, self centered, lying inbred morons.

I do most of the time for my wife, but sometimes not. Like tonight after church, I had her Bible and mine so I asked her if she was ok with the door. She said yes. I open the door for ladies and older gentlemen if they show sign of unsteady movement. Most of them appreciate it.

Have a blessed day,

Leon

Always do, and told my Son to do the same. He asked why, here's what I told him.

It's a security issue. Consider any scenario, dating or married, out for a movie, dinner, grocery store etc. Coming and going, you maintain SA, you get her into the car first, shut her door, scan as you round the car, get in the car, shut the door, lock it, start the car & leave.

Son asks whats the big deal if I get in first, even if she's outside the car?

Exactly. There you are seated in the car, and bad guy pops up & does whatever, grabs her purse, grabs her, throws her in a vehicle that rolls up, takes off, etc. Again there you are, sitting in the car, unable to act.

Explain that one to Mr. and Mrs. Jones. "um, a, I'm sorry Mr. & Mrs. Jones, I took your daughter out, and I didn't take care of her". You can fill in the blank as to what could happen, purse stolen, arm broke, or kidnapped & gang raped for 40 days and then killed.

All because you, numbnutz, bought into the BS feminist equality movement.

At the end of the day, you are still on the hook for her safety and security.

I think out here a lot of times it's is considered to be a form of sexual harassment.

If its hot or cold my wife wants me to jump in first and get the truck started and the HVAC system turned on. Going into stores or restaurants I always hold the door open for ladies and sometimes men, and a lot of guys will hold the door open for me too. It's pretty common around here.

So called "Feminism" has really messed people up.

I've had women of the younger generation get nearly angry with me for holding a door open to let them walk through first.

I've never had a guy act that way when holding a door open for them.
