Does this gun come with a case??

You might see if the friend has a 22 pistol as well if you've not fired a pistol before.

The 9mm range kit is impossible to find and for the price the 40 cal is a better deal, thats why I think im going to get it.

As far as a case, who cares. You will want to buy a range bag to carry everything together.

9 vs 40 - the 40 will have more recoil. Overall, the bigger/heaver the gun, the less felt recoil. A full size .40 will have a lot less felt recoil than a shield .40 .

You want a caliber/gun that you are able to reacquire your target quickly. If that means 9mm then go for it. As your first gun, I would recommend a 9mm.

Cabela's has the M&P 9mm range kit in stock and it is the FDE color. It comes in a black case that is bigger than the blue one a regular m&p 9 comes in.

Actually, just worked out what you were saying. Right handed holster.

But you have to think the extra mag and UpLULA are worth it alone.
You're right, the extra mag and UpLULA are indeed worth it, but it's the same price if you bought them separately. At least it was when I checked.

I really like the idea of the range/carry kit. I just wish I could swap out the holster and mag pouch for something I could use.

does anyone know how long it takes buds to ship a gun? i ordered my gun 3 days ago and the money has been removed from my checking account, but it still says payment pending.

I just bought a 9mm shield and it came in a M&P cardboard box. Pretty disappointing....but hey, I got one!
