Call customer service and talk to a body, then email them the picture. Somebody didn't know what they were doing and somebody else screwed up by letting that out of the shop. IMO it's time for a new barrel. (if they were smart they would apologize profusely and send you a complete new upper and hope you don't leak out the pictures of their shoddy work, oops, too late).
Was there any damage to the shipping box? At first, I thought the flash-hider had been cross-threaded on but after looking at it a little more, it looks like it was dropped on its muzzle.
Called S&W this morning, spoke to a nice old lady. Explained to her what happened, and she proceeds to tell me that she can send me a return label to send it back with .And to write a letter stating what happened and put it in with the gun. What a joke and a waste of 10 minutes!
I have emailed them both pictures, the first responce I got was " that looks like something that happened during shipping"
