I think (most) dogs are ultra cute, and I love to cuddle with them. Kitties to.

Now hamsters... my God I learned not to snuggle with hamsters years ago. Can anybody say "pancake"?

YES, the dogs sleep on the bed with us. They're part of the family. They have better personalities and are cleaner than some people I have met around the world.

According to the little lady, there's only one dog allowed in her bed and that is me.

P.S. She hates all dogs therefore she has 2 cats.

Our mini schnauzer sleeps on at the foot of our bed unless were camping in the tent and it's cold, then he worms his way into my sleeping bag to stay warm. Since the kids all left home, he fills the empty space in our hearts.

Its kinda imbarrassing what I do for my dog, but...

My dog doesn't wear pants or wipe either. I never have really thought about that. I have thought about her other little problem. She eats poop.

Oh yeah, and she sleeps in our bed.

Aloha,

The only time they are allowed n the bed is when the weather gets cold.

Last night it was in the mid 60s.

When it drops below 60, then they can come on the bed.

It's getting closer to the lower 60s sooner than I think.......

I hate going to the bathroom and having to fight to get "my spot" on the bed back after the 55 pound female rolled over into it.

That's why they invented the couch. :D

IT GETS WORSE WITH AGE, MINE & THEIRS.

We have sibling male/female French Britany's now 14 y/o. When we picked them up in 2000, we agreed no dogs on the bed or furniture, that rule didn't last the first night. The first 10+ years they would stand up & move away to let me into my own bed, they don't sleep on Moms side. Now they don't move away at all, the Diva has made her own studio apt in our walk in closet, complete with doggie bed, and a set of stairs in case she should want to grace us with her presence, but will measure the height of the adjustable mattress with her chin & bark if it's too high or the stairs aren't in the EXACT right place. I don't need a clock as they will come into my mancave at night to tell me when it's time to come to bed & wake up. How a 40 lb dog can put his back against the wife & push a 300+ lb man to the very edge of the bed, (and onto the floor more than once is a mystery). Then like last night there is the pottie parade. I get up at 4am to pee, then the wife, then the male, then the female. After torn cruciate ligaments, cataracts, normal aging, I will do just about ANYTHING to get more precious time with them, and keep them as comfortable as possible. WHIPPED and WRAPPED you bet, AND LOVING IT.

When we had a dog (Bruce - a mongrel, labrador/retriever/spaniel/collie) some years ago, we would have let him upstairs into the bedroom but for the fact that he seemed to think it was a big game, jump on the bed and pull the bedclothes off to lick our faces...not that up on dog behaviour, so don't know why he did this.

Any ideas?

BTW - I think it's good you letting your dogs sleep on/in your beds...I have the impression that properly groomed dogs are a lot cleaner than some give them credit for.
