Double Rifles - a True Addiction

This is the photo of a Rhodesian who poached ivory in Mozambique just after WWII the photo was given to us by Westley Richards just after we beat them to the purchase they were obviously looking for the gun as they brought the photo with them.

The hunters name was Dennis M. Castell Castell his 4 initial were engraved on the guns receiver and on Westley Richards record as the buyer. I tried to research Dennis on my many trips to Zimbabwe but all I found was that he lived in Karoi and was a fireman.

Note his notation to W.R. 5 shots and the 5 pairs of tusks the gun was in pristine condition.

Drilling

One of my Patrolmen said he had an odd rifle. He brought it in and I was kinda floored. Kreghof Drilling. I don't recall the caliber. He had no clue but I didn't try to buy it. Couldn't offer what it was worth and couldn't try to put the screws to him.
