When I stopped by a LGS here on Thursday, they had some FS magazines in stock - for $60 each!!

These were supposedly "bulk package" mags, not the individually packaged ones from S&W. When I asked why so expensive, the clerk said that their distributor had jacked the prices way up. Well, someone in the distribution chain is certainly raising the prices, though I have my suspicions that these loose magazines may actually be coming out of new gun kits that were supposed to have two or three mags.

With prices like this, I'll wait for my backorder from S&W, and just gnash my teeth a little bit...

I've actually seen my range/lgs unboxing bulk mags before. They came in zip lock bags rather than the plastic display packs.

It's not over until the prices get closer to normal.

For that price. They can eat them.

My couple LGS are good at telling "us" about price increases and I think your's did one of their own...

Not here . Thank goodness for the Internet. If your will to sit and look around long enough I seem to be able to find part mags and stuff like that.. where I live No ammo to be had.. I do have a great gun shop that states all price will be under MSRP they say they will not gouge price..Wish they were a little closer.. Darn good people! Drought is over when shelves are filled again with ammo and racks are filled with guns at decent prices..IMO George

Just went to order... Appeared instock... Went to check out... $52.96 shipping for 4 magazines! I'll wait!

Same here, ordered 2 22LR mags total $54, shipping $28.56:eek::mad:

What gives?
I did send them a nasty-gram asking if that is the correct shipping cost, if so I will not be ordering form this sight.

$51 a piece and u "think" its over.

I've seen places selling Pmgas and the shipping is dang near the price of the Pmags. Imagine what people think when they see the cheaper price to start with, lol.

It's a favorite Internet sales and eBay tactic. Quote a reasonable or low price, and make it up on the shipping and handling.

ALWAYS check your total costs before buying. Unfortunately, some sites don't even show the actual "shipping costs" until they ship...

Yes, you are right the shipping and handling is nuts... I decided to buy some ammo and the freight was 60% more in addition to the cost of one carton so I decided to try two and they simply doubled the cost. That is simply wrong.

Be careful on the shipping.....they can charge anything they want and usually do.
You can figure the shipping yourself. The thing you can't figure is the "processing" and or "handling".You can't figure that catch out.

Far from over. Went to Walmart to ck on ammo coming in.
Started out I was 6th in line. There ended up being 20 people. Most looking for 22lr. Then 223 (which I got 3 boxes of) and then 9mm and lastl .40. Which is good Becasue I have a. I've supply of 22lr and shoot .40.
But it's far from over!!
:-(

How come Walmarts in the south get ammo but we don't see any up here?

Is the ammo produced or distributed in the south so they just sell it off close to home to save shipping?

All the Walmarts around me have not had any ammo at all. The sporting department managers have told me they get zero, even though it is on order.
