I am currently living in Hawaii on military orders and let most of my firearms with parents back on the mainland. I visited over the Christmas holidays and decided to sell my two remaining Glocks and expand my Smith and Wesson inventory. Sold my G27 and traded my G23 for a M&P40. Shot the new M&P and my 3913LS. I forgot how sweet the 3913 was. Now the plan is to get a 9mm barrel for the M&P40, purchase a M&P9c, and track down a CS9D and a 4583 when I get to the mainland. I think that about covers it.

Except the right side slide release tab broke off the M&P40 at the range. Couldn't find it in the grass but, I'm sure the warranty covers that...

Be very careful of not going off base with whatever firearms you do have unless you follow the restrictive rules. If you think CA or NY have restrictive gun laws, Hawai'i takes the cake.

I did the same thing, sold all the Sigs and Glocks and bought Smiths. Carry the 3913 95% of the time with the 4566 and Model 65 taking up the rest of the CCW time.

Interesting! I too have sold my Glocks. In 2011 I went from not owning any S&W's, to owning four all steel S&W guns.

good luck finding a cs9d. I picked one up last week and put 50 rounds thru it yesterday. I like it better than my 3913NL. It points perfectly in the hand.

You're moving up in the world!

I don't own any plastic guns. Never have, never will.

[sarcasm] You may be suffering from "I Want Plastic Guns" Syndrome. You catch this pesky ailment by reading glossy gun magazines full of fancy gun articles written by people who must, by default, promote plastic guns in order to put food on the table. [/sarcasm].

I have never owned or even shot a glock but I owned two M&Ps.9full size and the compact 9c. I never could get to likeing the plastic M&Ps and sold both of them. I have close to 10 trade-in 3rd gen steel pistols and am very satisfied with them. I just feel better with a hammer exposed and a decocker. A couple of them are DAO with very smooth triggers.

Sold my gen4 G19 and bought more S&W wheel guns :-))

While not a Glock fan, I own a few. I would sell them if I did not have so dang many magazines for them that I would be stuck with.

Maybe when the Feds come back with restrictions against high capacity magazines, I can sell the magazines for more than the guns are worth.

Actually a Glock has it's place in life. They are great teaching tool for the new shooters that tend to damage nice guns by dropping them and careless handling.

S&W has my heart and will be the most common brand I buy in the future.

There's not enough Bavarian brew in all of Austria to make a Glock fondle worthy. S&Ws on the other hand can be fully appreciated while 100% sober. Seriously, I know Glocks have a good reputation but it's just so hard to convince your hands to touch something that your eyes are telling you to run from.
