Dying of thirst

"laughter is the best medicine" was (maybe still is) a regular column/section in the Readers Digest magazine. It solicited & paid for readers joke contributions. Where they got the title, whom knowz.

Art Linkletter said "kids say the darn'dest things" and others etc. He may have originated the laughter-best medicine saying but Readers Digest made it known to millions.

I knew that... I'm old and just forgot...

Did ya hear the one about the old guy and... wait... I can't remember the punch line!

Dick burg; Thanks for that explaination. I knew or had heard a lot of what you wrote, but you have a fine way of writeing it that I dont have the talent for.
I spent about a half hour trying to write a good answer, got carried away a bit much and posted it. Then I rethunk it and deleted my own post. If any of you seen it and wondered why it disappeared, it was me not one of the moderaters that removed it.

Walking on Very Thin Ice here I'd say. Who's going to be the first to break thru? :D Not me. I've been dinged way to many times. Too many jokes, political, or just plain stupid posts. But...I'm still here. The only forum I belong to.

Oh yea, I liked the OP joke! :)
