Early Preparations For Isaac.

COL Jagdog,

I met Nagin and former Gov. Kathleen Blanco face to face and their cronies in a social atmosphere after Katrina.

Nagin couldn't be more pompous and arrogant.

Blanco was nearly black out drunk.

Disgusting donkeys.

Neighborhood update:
Less than half of my neighbors are here. Creepy feeling.

Went to Lowe's this afternoon. No water, no generators, no gas cans and very little charcoal. So scored 4 20lb bags just in case the juice goes off (more than likely) And if so will be eating out of the freezers. Frank

Problem wasn't wind or water -- it was the looters.

I intercepted quite a number of them -- reference:

"The Great Deluge" -- by Douglas Brinkley (pp 417 et seq)

Can't believe it will hit on Aug 29 (exactly 7 years after Katrina) -- it's like "deja vu all over again".

My statement was made about Biloxi, not NOLA.

Then he don't like bourbon.

He likes it just fine. We stayed up late Friday night talking about the old days, I have known him since we were too young to go to school. We were listening to some great blues on the radio and I even had a taste of it. I still prefer Canadian.

He went back to Cape Cod early Saturday, but we had a fine visit. I had not seen him in 16 years.
