I apologize for being so long before posting an update about EB. If you remember she is the 3 year old daughter of a law enforcement friend of mine. She was diagnosed with a brain tumor, and had surgery. So far she is still in Pediatric ICU. The surgeons were not able to remove all of the tumor. It did come back as a confirmed malignant tumor. It was said she is very weak. She has had some positives, although she remains under anesthetic and on a ventilator. The doctors met yesterday to decide the next course of treatment. They say the rest of the tumor has to come out, which means another surgery. In the meantime, they are going to attempt to strengthen little EB and maybe treat her with some chemo or radiation before doing surgery again. Please continue to pray for EB and her family. They are exhausted, and overwhelmed would be an understatement. I will keep you update if anything new develops. Bless you all.

Hi, Firehouse,

Sweet Bride and I will definitely add our prayers for little EB and her family! Take care, and God Bless!

Doc and Sweet Bride

Still in my morning and nightly prayers. So sad that any child should have to deal with something like this. Prayers will continue, and thanks for the update.

God bless her and her family.
Simply heartbreaking.

I just wanted to post a brief update. Not really much change. She's still day to day. EB had some issues with a fever due to some infection and her blood pressure has fluctuated some. She is still in an induced coma. I was told she had a good day on Sunday. Keep the prayers coming. Seems like a lot of sadness in the air for such a joyous time of year. Dear Lord please bless all of the sick and the ones we have lost.

They have some rough times ahead, probably for a year or so. I pray they have strength and support.

A new update on EB. They had to go in and replace the shunts in her head. She had some infections that refused to clear up. Her Mother says that 2 of her infections are clear now, but they are still waiting on the one in her cerebral spinal fluid to clear up. She is having a tough time being weaned from the sedation meds, but she is still fighting.

If you would like to send her a Christmas Card, the info is as follows.

Children's Hospital
Erin Brynn (EB) Johnson (PICU)
1600 7th Avenue South
Birmingham, AL 35233-1711

Thanks for your continued thoughts and prayers. God bless.

She also has a Facebook page for those interested as well. Login | Facebook
