Tears in my eyes

What a beautiful girl. Dear God, help heal this girl and grant her family all the strength and courage needed to stay strong. In your name, Amen.

Well, EB had her procedures performed that her mother spoke of in the last updates. Her Mother has posted a new update with information on the results. I have posted them below as written by her. Thanks.

EB is out of surgery and doing well. Everything went well except the spinal tap. She did not have enough spinal fluid to draw off, so we are going to see what they will do about that. She has an MRI scheduled for 7 pm tonight. She is still on the ventilator from the surgery and will most likely be on it until some time early tomorrow. She has already opened her eyes. Keep praying for EBJ!

I have more news on EB. As I sit here and type this I'm struggling to keep my composure. I'm at work and I can't let myself blubber like a child in front of my guys. However, I have to say I am overwhelmed to say the least.

I have received word down from EB's mother. The results from the MRI that was to be performed last night came back. EB's brain tumor is gone. The surgeons were not sure that they were able to get it all when the surgery was performed on the day after Thanksgiving. The MRI has CONFIRMED they in fact DID get it all. What they doubted, the Lord has provided for. Praise God!

She is still not out of the woods yet. She will still have to undergo chemotherapy, which complications will probably follow. There is also other complications to possibly deal with. However, it seems the threat of more surgery to deal with a tumor has subsided for now. Please continue to pray for EB. God bless you all and thank you for your thoughts and prayers to this point. I will continue to keep you all posted.

Good day.

Firehouse,

Not only will I pray, but our church has a ministry entitled "Internet Intercessors." EB is on it.

That is great news FH. Thank you for letting us know. I know she is not out of the woods yet, but this is a great start. Prayers will continue on a daily basis. God bless her.

The news gets better and better! Of course the prayers will continue!

Words are quite inadequate for times like these. I will continue to remember this child. I know she has a long and difficult road ahead. May God continue to watch over this child.

I received a message from EB's Mom and wanted to post in her words what she had to say. Below I have copy and pasted what she said. Thanks again.

For those of you who might not know yet, we had a big meeting with the PICU doctors, Dr. Blount (neurosurgeon), Dr. Friedmon (oncologist), her nurse Ashleigh, social workers and chaplain today. We were to discuss her "plan" for the future. Well, Dr. Blount told us that the MRI last night did not show any tumor left,... which was a HUGE surprise. We all know what happened...it was prayer that did it. She still has to have 8 weeks of chemo and 6 weeks (I think) of radiation. She will have surgery again on Thursday to put in an internalized shunt. She will recover until Monday, 1/25 and then chemo will start. She still has a long road to recover from the brain injury/stroke. She still needs prayers. Look what they have done so far. With the continued prayers, she will recover from everything and be the sweet, feisty, spoiled little girl she was before her/our world got turned upside down. Praise God for what he has done. Please keep praying for EB!!!!!!! Prayers work!

Wiping tears from my cheeks I'll continue to pray for beautiful little EB. Thank you Lord for this good news.
Thanks Firehouse for the updates.
