Ebola. ...You have to put the danger in perspective.I think in the time we first heard of the first case likely 200 or more good folks have died in the US from medical malpractice and add in a bunch more from complacations due to hospital induced infections. A lot of folks die every day in this country due to no fault of there own. I just hope the powers that be don't use the suffering from this terrible disease to write millions upon millions of dollars in hot checks our kids and grandchildren will have to pay..
yes, but there are a fairly regular number of physicians to kill people with malpractice. This will be a fairly fixed statistical constant.
Ebola, at this time, may be a significantly lower number.
unlike doctors, it's carriers are not a fixed constant.
Instead this number answers to an exponential multiplier, compounding daily like interest on a loan from a mafia loan shark.
Duncan exposed ( not necessarily infected) nearly 80 in a weeks time.
That was two weeks ago.
If each of the 80 matched his exposure performance, 80 can be as high as 6400 carriers in the first week.
The following week, mathematically, is a figure in the half million range.
thats the real danger here.
deadly diseases, are like a xerox machine of death wired on meth and rampaging. Thats what made these things desirable as weapons.
