* * Ebola Discussion

Sorry I got the area's mixed up.......doesn't change the ultimate results,,,Importation of a deadly disease that just maybe we could have kept it out of our homeland,,,sometimes it takes a lot of GUTS to do the proper thing for our homeland.,,,,

Another one in Dallas

Feller admitted today with Ebola symptoms. Boyfriend of someone working at the hospital where that guy died last week.

Newest victim was admitted today with the symptoms and the hospital staff is docking and dodging questions.

No one else is saying anything about it. Could be true.

I heard on the radio today that the nurse boyfriend is now showing signs of being infected with the virus...has anyone else heard this?

I find it interesting the government spokesman came today and said there easy 76 possible people that were exposed to the virus. Mmmmm wonder who they exposed and they exposed....

Best thing is they should have stopped it from coming here.

Hospitals in the US can't control a staff infection and suddenly they are able to control ebola?
My mother ended up with MRSA while she was in for something relatively minor. Her room had infection control signs at the door and gowns and gloves to be worn when entering. I watched almost every healthcare worker just stroll right in with no protection. When I challenged them about it and what I should do with the gown I was wearing they said just throw it in the trash. I would go to the Dog and Cat hospital before I would go back to that hospital.
I think we're in for a rough time before this is over. And the government has the power to force quarantine us. That's going to be a problem.

Only that the boufriend was under observation, not that he had any symptoms. At least that was the case about 5 pm today.
I hope the dog is OK. From what I have read, there isn't any information that dogs can carry Ebola or transmit it to humans. But like everything else in this mess, I doubt if anyone really knows. For sure, fruit bats do carry Ebola, and apparently many West Africans eat fruit bats, and that's how it's being transmitted. I wasn't aware of that. Don't look for a Big McFruitbat.

I'm not a health care worker but I can guarantee the isolation garments I've seen the TV news bragging about has a hole in it big enough to drive a truck load of ebola through. Doctors wrapped from hands and feet up over the head, big welder type mask and every one, each and every one with their neck exposed. Come on when I went to school covering up meant every square inch of skin.

No wonder healthcare workers are getting infected.

Have you seen any of the "screeners" on the other side of the pond checking air passengers? I saw some wearing dust masks and a bib :rolleyes: :eek: , holding a sort of heat sensing device in their hands. They looked real safe and secure to me, standing 2 ft away. :rolleyes:

They have said plenty about it. He's the boyfriend of the nurse that got sick

Video of those screeners with animals running around and brushing flies away from their Dollar Store protective gear certainly is reassuring. The "sensors" looked like a timing light from the 70s.

Ebola. ...You have to put the danger in perspective.I think in the time we first heard of the first case likely 200 or more good folks have died in the US from medical malpractice and add in a bunch more from complacations due to hospital induced infections. A lot of folks die every day in this country due to no fault of there own. I just hope the powers that be don't use the suffering from this terrible disease to write millions upon millions of dollars in hot checks our kids and grandchildren will have to pay..
