EDC flashlights

I have invested in Fenix, Streamlight, Surefire and many others without regrets. These days, LEDs and battery formulas have really blurred a lot of the lines between brands and performance.

For overall performance and reliability, I find NEBO (especially the Torchy 1k or 2k) to be fantastic lights at a reasonable cost. Outstanding. I can't beat them with others that cost 3 times the price.

On the other end of the spectrum, about 7 years ago, I was buying from an overseas shopping site and found this little guy below. The infamous "Hugsby XP-1". I bought a few dozen for fun. Cost was about $1. That light, clipped to my wallet has been used in freezing cold, the tropics, work, home etc. Never failed me once and has the perfect combo of beam pattern and throw.

It's funny how there are so many similar pocket-sized EDC torches these days, yet so few of them come in anything but Black or Gray.

I like my flashlights to be in brighter colors so that they're easier to spot, especially under low lighting conditions. No sense in having a flashlight if its so dark that you need another flashlight to find it.
That's one of the things I also always liked about Maglites, they came it a bunch of different colors.

One of the reasons why I went with the Thrunite T1 over other similarly priced models by other brands was because it was available in a reflective bright red anodized aluminum finish.

The Thrunite T1 just came in yesterday.

I love it so far, it's really bright at a maximum of 1500 Lumines, yet nice and small.
