I'm dumping my AT&T DSL and switching to a Alltel data/aircard set-up connected to my laptop. The problem is that they don't offer any email address service. Can anyone offer any suggestions for free email service? I think I've read that some forums block certain addresses so I need one that won't affect my addicition here and with other forums.

TIA

I know that at least gmail and yahoo mail works here. You can use gmail on it's own, or integrate it into your Outlook Express for free. Yahoo charges for that, if I'm not mistaken.

I'm sure you know that plenty of forumns don't allow AOL accounts. I don't know about here. I probably wouldn't allow them.

When my wife and I bailed out of AT&T we decided to keep a dial-up account with them even though they don't have a local number. We did this just to keep our email account and not have to go to everyone and change it.

I've used Yahoo! Mail for years.
Nice features, automatic scanning, and plenty of storage space. If you can get to the internet you can check your email from anywhere in the world.

There are several; MSN offers hotmail, AOL offers AIM, Google offers Gmail (Which I personaly H-A-T-E) since my ISP switched to it it is really nasty with spam, I rarely if ever got any spam on the original cleaarwire mail now I get 10-15 a day. There is also Yahoo and they are loaded with spam and trash. However the choice will have to be your's. Whichever works best for you

Hey 7003006 where in Mn. I love Midwest Country from Sandstone. best program on TV besides Cumberland HIghlanders and Big Joe's Polka show.

Pretty much tried most of them to include Excite and Opera mail. Yahoo has always worked the best for me. Never had a problem.

Check with AT&T about a plan that will not provide any internet access but allow you to keep your email address. I used to use earthlink for DSL service and dropped it for AT&T, however, my wife had started using an earthlink email address and she really didn't want to lose it; earthlink charges me $19.95/year to retain their email access.

I am using gmail. no spam as of yet.I am running it in outlook. IMAP
