I totally agree, that's why I have voted in EVERY election (except twice when I was sick),

PS, I have served on jury duty 4 times, twice not picked, twice with a conviction. Duty is a big part of being an American!!!

During my time in the Active Air Force, I must has received 4 or 5 jury summons! Haven't received anything since I've been out.. but it's only been 8 months.

I don't think the problem is voter apathy. The problem is voter ignorance. Some people agonize more over which pair of shoes to buy.

I totally agree! We all need to be/get informed on who we vote for.

I'll second that.
My girlfriend's father has a great way of betting informed when he votes...
He looks for an "R" next to a name and that is who he votes for.
I'm not a fan of straight ticket voting. If I don't know anything about anyone running for a specific office.. I wont vote for it.

That was a generalized bag-off response. "Hey, senator, keep this in mind!"
I think the problem is 'politician apathy', not voter apathy. I have never recieved anything but a canned reply from either of my senators, or my representative. I do respect my representative, Cliff Stearns. He is an upright person and always votes conservative values.
