Embarrassing E-Mail

The other day I had a funny picture on my smart phone that Mrs. Hillbilly wanted a copy of. She wanted me to e-mail it to her so she could print it out.
I sent her the picture in an e-mail, and being a natural smart-***, I included an "adult-themed" statement in the Subject line. After all, what's a harmless joke between husband and wife, right? (The picture itself was not vulgar or profane in any way.) We had a good private laugh about the message that I included and that was that.


Well, Mrs. Hillbilly enjoyed the picture so much that she decided to Forward it to several people that she knew would also enjoy it.
The list of recipients includes a few PTO moms and Baby-Hillbilly's First-grade teacher.
Much to her horror, she just realized that she forgot to remove the "special message" that I had sent to her, and it was included in the Fwd. e-mails. :eek: :D

This should be amusing to watch her explain it away. :D
 
I learned long ago that you do not put anything into an email - and more recently even an IM or text - that you would not want posted on the bulletin board of your (school/office/church/etc).

As you learn from this example even when it is not you accidentally sending it the wrong place it can still happen - even if it got buried in an email thread it can still bite ya.
 
E-mails are like the spoken word. Once you put it out there it's out there for good and there is no getting it back. If all my careless remarks and thoughtless emails and posting were to be gathered and I be held accountable I would get the death penalty no doubt. That's one reason I'm so glad I found this site late in my internet career. I have finally learned how to behave myself (mostly). A few years back I wouldn't have lasted "until the water got hot". :rolleyes: Lee would have wanted to hire a couple of heavy hitters to drop by and teach me some manners, I'm sure.

Has your daughter requested to finish out school at an out of state relatives house yet????

That poor child has been forever branded as the child of those deviant freakzoids!

Well, on the up side...there won't be many play dates at Camp Hillbilly!:)
 
I really can't comment on this thread without knowing the contents of the subject line. C'mon, we're all friends here ..... how bad could it have been?:D:D

Well, not bad between husband & wife, but bad to Fwd. to the teacher & PTO. :eek:

I do hope you've realized that no matter what, it's still and is always is going to be your fault. Feral animal or not, you are still going to get the blame. Ain't marriage great?:D
 
Hillbilly - I had to laugh when I read your post. It reminded me of a somewhat similar incident that occurred years ago to me.

New fangled video camera, new wife, to much time to think of the possibilities...:D:D

Should not have used the end of the tape that had our daughters high school graduation on it....

After watching my first attempt at being an adult film producer, she should have erased that part of the tape like she said she was going to do.

Several years later, she definitely should not have given our daughter that tape so her new boyfriend's parents and family could watch her graduation.

I am still glad that the wife, and not me, took that hysterical phone call from our daughter that night..:o:o

I knew someone that was in the air force. Someone sent him a racey picture of a young woman. He passed it on to a buddy in I think on a base in italy. Somehow the italian goverment got ahold of it and pressed charges with his CO or whatever. He was coming up on retirement and had to spend a couple years in a federal prision! Turned out the female was under age. He thought she was older than that. Basicly as I was told by him, someone sent him the e-mail, he thought it was cool and sent it on to his buddy.

Sounds like a story I heard of a love letter sent to a military man marked Top Secret - guess what - that meant that he had to not only open the letter but also read it locked in a room with several other people of much higher rank that he in order to determine whether or not in fact it contained any information that was in fact restricted. perhaps if she had marked it Victoria's Secret instead, then he would likely only have had to open it locked in a room with all his squad members. :D
