Empty Casings are now a reason for arrest?

Klyde,
....

Without making for another discussion for another day....It seems to me that the further west a person goes..... the more that common sense prevails....Glad I'm sort of located where the West begins..... just about anything west of the Missouri river.

Except it drops off sharply just before the Pacific Ocean.

One can only hope and pray that the new change will be used only on those who have serious criminal intent. But I do know a few officers out there who would use it just to make a lock up. We call them SLAPs (stupid lazy *** police), that's right, one cop to another.

Good thingI'm not in one of those nutball states, I brought back about 500 empty casings from the range on Sunday!

i'm gonna hang one from rear view mirror,i ain't scared!!Maybe the NRA can back me and we'll take it to the supreme court..stupid laws!!

We'd be getting a but off topic of the 2nd amendments, but many of the proposals of the gun laws sure seem about as senseless as some of the old Blue Laws...

No selling ice cream on Sundays??????

There must be a spittoon for each X number of persons in a business.....

I thought there was supposed to be a hitching post in front of a business....Some places, that is still on the books...

Klyde or Xtasy...Where did you find that "restricted ammo thing? I didn't see that in those D.C. codes I rummaged thru.

As far as the Winchester Black Talons, I thought they just renamed them to PDX1's

I'd say that's the stupidest thing I have ever heard of but unfortunately it would just make it on the "one of them" list. I sure wish Indiana was further away from that cesspool. :(

District of Columbia Code
Section 7-2506.01 :)

I didn't find it under 7-2506.01, but under 7-2501-01.

.LexisNexis® Custom Solution: District of Columbia Code Unannotated Research Tool

7-2501-01
(13A) "Restricted pistol bullet" means any bullet designed for use in a pistol which, when fired from a pistol with a barrel of 5 inches or less in length, is capable of penetrating commercially available body armor with a penetration resistance equal to or greater than that of 18 layers of kevlar.

.

But it doesn't specifically refer to "Black Talons" type by name.

This could open a whole can of worms. A Thompson Contender, in .223, and it has a bbl of say 8", then according to that it would be ok???????

Or a Smith 29 in the 8 3/8" bbl. shooting "Black Talons" would be ok...

As far as the "Black Talon's" go, I believe they were so called banned a few years back because of their name being called "Cop Killers".

That's why Winchester changed the name to PDX1's..Basically the same bullet, with a different color..black vs copper.

I just happen to have a couple boxes of of the original "Black Talons in .45 ACP. And some of the newer PDX1 Defender in .45 ACP..both in 230 gr.

SO......Not only "Banned in Boston", but Banned in D.C. too!!!!

I sure am glad I have no reason to go back to D.C for anything.

The obvious solution is to not give DC police a reason to search your pockets or vehicle.

There fixed it for ya...:) Missouri is as gun loving of a state as you can get. Stand your ground laws. Shall issue ccw. No mag restrictions. No waiting period or permits. Open carry. No permit needed to carry ccw on your property... Heck I can ccw in my car without a permit because it is considered an extension of my property.

But back to the point... DC is about as un-american of a place as you can get. Truly sad... :(

Unfortunately, some normal folks are going to have to make the news after getting busted and having their lives destroyed over such a trivial matter before these types of enforcements are challenged. More likely they'll be used to trump up charges as and when needed. (Although tossing a few 22 casings in uber Democrat cars and pickup boxes might get the matter resolved faster...lol)

Now the anti-gun loonies in Sacramento will have to pass a similar or even more restrictive law in California. Those of you who can read my mind will hear a string of obscenities.

When I retire and move to Nevada, the first thing I plan to do is drop my trousers and moon Sacramento.

if this is true then it is simply refering to the projecticle and not the cartridge it's important to seperate the two.

as i stated before theres plenty of room in Texas lol.

I have a ballpoint pen made out of 30-06 round, a key fob that is a drilled out 44 mag, a table lamp made from a 20mm AA shell.

Do these items if possessed within DC or Boston violate the law?

My trailer hitch cover is a reproduction of a M18A1 Claymore anti-personnel mine used by the U.S. military, marked reproduction and only the front half that reads "this end toward enemy" , how much trouble would that buy me in DC and Boston.

A pen, Key Fob, table lamp and hitch cover would get me locked up for how long?

Most of NE is a anti gun liberal cesspool these days... Most have been touched on but lets not forget the people's republic of New Jersey where I had the displeasure of living for a number of years. I believe any firearms violation is automatic 3yr min including mere possession of a hollow point outside your home or place of business and onerous transport rules on everything from ammo to guns. The state police for years have targeted people with tags from gun friendly places like Florida... "where's your guns".
