Equalizer red dot & magazine issue

Could not fully load my new 13 & 15 round magazines which are marked Shield Plus. Checked the bottom of the followers and the spring is NOT hanging up on mine. Tech support said load them up and wait, try again. Helped on some after a few days, others took longer even with a mag loader. Also bought a Holosun 407 K GR X2 green dot and the incl screws did not work. You need 1/2 inch 6-32 screws for mounting this, so found elec wall switch plate 6-32 screws in black, slotted head but oh well. Use blue thread lock and a quick fix. Low cost too.

When I bought my Equalizer an Uplula mag loader came with it. I used it to load the mags the first 3-4 times, but it is no longer required. I load mags now with the base on a table or other hard surface, but otherwise with hand strength alone. If a mag loader did not come with your gun, you will find it well worth the expense to get one, especially if your hand strength is not enough to load them on you own.

I love my Equalizer, but I find it odd that a handgun advertised as being for folks with compromised hand strength requires King Kong hands to load the mags, and a contortionist's hands to field strip it without hitting the grip safety. As long as you don't need to do either operation, no problem!

I love the loader that came with the guns. I have 2 Equalizers. One home, one carry. Given weak hands related to a health issue and the meds, the loader makes life soooo simple. As aside, when I picked up the second Equalizer I did try a Berretta, Glock and Sig. I can easily rack the S&W. No way on the others. I appreciate S&W for these guns.
