Connecticut lawmaker wants names of gun owners to be made public | Fox News

Evil law-makers are deliberately starting a civil unrest among its own citizens. They are providing a fertile ground for anti-gun protestors to destroy gun-owners' properties and physically harming us through riots and demonstrations by making our addresses public.

And, if any of us pick up a gun to defend ourselves, there'll be more uproar.

How are you guys going to handle this if it comes to your county?

Seriously though, this is one of those things that needs to work it's way through the courts. The First Amendment guarantees your right to free speech, but you will be held accountable. Just like the Second guarantees our right to bear arms, we are still responsible for our actions.

A couple counties in NY have released the info, the county I live in has not and our elected officials have stood by us. They've been on just about every news program in America, being defiant. This is a different case though, actually quite the opposite, a local newspaper, not any pols have tried to have the info released.

How is possible that elected officials can hate their fellow countrymen this much? The evilness of this act is beyond what words can even describe, it is many notches above the Connecticut massacre. This is politics at all cost: including the deliberate attempt to make your own citizens kill each other. The Obama device is pulled out yet again --- create division among the people.

Be respectful. Dont break the law. Dont trespass. Remember you are representatives of those who support the 2A to the US Constitution. Respect the memories of those who gave their lives to defend that Constitution. - - Dress & act accordingly and have in mind your audience of fellow citizens (many who aren't knowledgeable on firearms or the 2A.)

I would think that signs and peaceful protests are still legal in CT.

At times you need to fight fire with fire. Start publishing the names, addresses and most importantly, salaries, of all officials who support publising the names of gun owners.
Then if they continue, publish the names, addresses and salaries of all of those in the departments that aid and abeit the publishing of names and addresses of gun owners.
Personally, I would start with the department that administers the gun permitting system. I would publish the names, address, salaries of these people. Afterall, they are public servants paid for by your tax dollars.
All of this information is public the same way the names of gun owners is in the public domain.

What conceivable reason is there to publish the addresses of law abiding citizens who had to pass background checks to get their permits ?

Of course this is nothing but psych-war. In the mind of the broader public, equate legal gun owners to sex offenders who must have their names/addresses published.
