A LGS has very low round count (just a hint of a turn line) 10-5 snub for $495. The grips have a couple of handling marks/rubs, but the lockup, end shake, and cylinder gap are A+. Good buy at this price?

I'd haggle, but personally would have no problem paying that price for that specific revolver in the described condition.

What? You ain't bought it yet, boy??? Git on down thar and buy that puppy!
If they'll sell it for $425 wonderful. If not, flop your 5 bills on the counter and go home happy! I would.

A few years ago I was in my LGS and they had a gorgeous Model 10 2" in their counter for a shade under 300 bucks. I forget exactly. I grabbed it. The owner of the store (with whom I am very friendly) was ringing me up, he looked at the gun, looked at me, and I said, "Don't ask me; that's how y'all tagged it!" He chuckled and said something to the effect that someone did something wrong, "that gun is 4 bills, easy, but don't worry about it" and we both laughed and that was that. If it was a $400 gun then then it's easily a $500 gun now.

That's not a bad price, offer less but I'd be willing pay that.

I have a 2" 10-9 and love it and it makes a great carry gun.

BUY IT....it such a fun gun , and will ALWAYS go up in value.

Just my two cents.... with the market on "nothing special" S&W k frame revolvers (by that I mean the non-rare, not sought after) , I have come to the conclusion in my area that they are worth +-$500 in 90% condition or better. You may find a deal but they seem to sell at the $500 mark. Anyone find this to be true or am in my own little world.

didnt mean to hi jack this post if I did

If you buy and older S&W revolver within a reasonable price range.....within 5 years your purchase will make you 25-40 percent profit. If not a whole lot more.....
