What tooling does the S&W factory use to install sights on their pistols?

It would depend on the model of pistol, and the sights being installed. But the most common is a hydraulic press, an arbor press is also used, but it's pretty old school and I suspect it's use is getting less and less.

They use a large enough hydraulic press that there is no need to properly fit the sights prior to installation.

don't know what do they use but I use MGW works great. I had replaced 4 sights in total without issues.

Great! If you're working with any kind of M&P you need the M&P pin set. The brass pins are for those who think they need them.
