Factory stocks?

I purchased a used 629PC a few months ago with the stocks in the picture. I do not like them much as the inlay is not flush and poor time.it feels a bit funny but in my hands. I have assumed that these were just an eBay purchase until this evening. I happened across a Smith & Wesson catalogue from 2004. Inside I found where they offered factory engraving.
