Fake can or supressor pic regulars

Man not very many cans made for non threaded barrels

Unless CA bans threaded barrels, you can probably have yours threaded locally for about $80-$100. One of the members here (Belt_fed) does it for $50.

It's all a matter of personal preference, but I wouldn't spend the money (around here it's $100) just to mount something that's purely cosmetic. Something that's actually useful, like a muzzle brake/compensator or a real suppressor is another matter.

It's all whatever turns you on - and how much you are willing to spend. :)

BTW, TactiCool22 makes quality stuff.

I would like to see a pic of that gun with the newer shroud from Tacticool. I am in the market for one and I can't make up my mind, I thought the tacticool shrouds looked a little skinny. I would like to see the newer shroud to compare.

There are some nice fake can suppressors out in the market. I feel they are overpriced because they only serve one purpose and thats appearance. Just my 2cents

I've got the performance center with an A-tech mod on ,I made the shroud from a disused pull up bar and its exactly the same diameter as the can. It also makes the rifle more forward heavy reducing muzzle flip and when I asked my old man what he thought he said it didn't feel like a toy anymore ? Whatever that means ?

I have a question to those of you with fake cans. Does the front end of the M&P15-22 feel heavier? I'm curious since they are made of alluminum.

here is my wife's 22 with her Spike Can mounted and painted.....

As far as weight goes...the can feels like it weights 1-2lbs but i have not tested the weight difference with my T-POD off. The T-POD weights about 5-6lbs and is only used when shooting from a mounted position for now.

Pilot II on the gun with a DIY PVC shroud, friction fit down about half way inside the hand guards. holes drilled in the shroud that match the hand guard holes for circulation. Silent, rabbit, killing machine:
