I'm a bourbon man, Maker's is a preference, but you have to breath. Mr. Beam is my go to guy. I find it odd that I haven't see Woodford Reserve on the list as I put it right up there with Makers. Oh and I drink it neat and warm.

In Tennessee Jack Daniels is for the tourists, George Dickel Barrel Select puts anything Jack makes to shame. To be drank as God wanted you to drink good whiskey, straight.

your first clue should be that you spelled whiskey with an "E" as you should although I can appreciate bourbon and some others, for me, there's nothing like The Tyrconnell. If you have to use ice or a mixer, then it doesn't matter what you're drinking - the ice destroys the aromatics of the spirits and the efforts of the distiller. I like The Tyrconnell neat, and a slow sip... I know the name sounds pompous, but heck -- it's good!

Saw this on a different forum, thought I might pose the same question here. Mine would be, without a doubt, Makers Mark. How about all of you?

Sir, FWIW, a few that I like are Woodford Reserve, Russell's Rye, and Maker's Mark. Maker's is our standard "good bourbon" here.

I've tried to like scotch, including some frighteningly expensive ones, to no avail.

Single Barrel jack Daniels if I am feeling rich.

Gentleman Jack if I want something SUPER SMOOTH.

Regular (black label) Jack if I am out of the top two.

Woodford's Reserve Bourbon is also in my rotation as well as a good Vodka (Belvedere or Sky) with some spicy jalapeno olives once in a blue.

Any 12 year old Scotch. I buy in Mexico at the duty free, very reasonable prices. Bought a 12 year old 1.75 bottle of Buchanan's last weekend for $60.00 plus $4.20 in taxes coming back across. I keep looking at the Walker blue label though, anyone every try this?

I havn`t had a drop since 2007 . The day I buried my 2 yrs younger than me brother, But I sure did like:
" Canadian Mist" on the rocks.
I keep it on hand for my friends who drink, and now I enjoy it vicariously through them.

It's been a few years since I've had any whiskey but I once had a soft spot in my head for John Jameson's Irish.

I had to quit drinkin' single malt Scotch. Too expensive.

Willett Family Reserve single barrel, bottle #55 of 180.

Mrs. Ironhand and I found it at a local liquor store a few weeks ago, and it's by far the best whiskey I've tasted. It's VERY strong, at 128 proof, but cutting it with a splash of water mellows it right out.
