Saw a very nice FBI Commemorative today. SCSW says there was a run of them in 1983 of 3200. It is not in it's wooden box, but a newer unmatching plastic box, so no value there. They want $599. What would you pay?

Thx,
Craig

IMHO "Commemorative Guns" are usually worth less than unmarked versions, unless of course you are affiliated with said agency. If you are then there might be a sentimental factor to figure in, but for most of us a standard unmarked version is always a more desirable gun.

I had one for sale over a year and it finally brought $750 shipped and that was to a guy "on the job" who really wanted it. Very nice gun but as others have commented, these commemoratives just don't bring the bucks.

As COLT SSA said... I would jump on it too. How many 5" bbl M27's have you encountered?

Never mind that it's a commemorative edition, if it is not in original pristine condition with everything that orginally came with, it's a moot point.

That price is decent for a relatively uncommon barrel length on a M27.

Thanks for all your responses. I'll look at it as a 5" 27 then. I'll probably head to the LGS today.

Sold one from my late brother's estate about a month ago for $750. Don't see how you can go wrong at that price. It may not be a steal but is certainly worth that kind of dough.
