I recently purchased a M&P40c and once fixed, (it made a nine day round trip to Smith) shoots very accurately and reliably.

Thank you Smith and Wesson.

I was given a box of Federal 130gr HST rounds for this gun.

3 shots 7/8ths of an inch offhand at 15 yards. My M&P loves this round.

Need to know more about this round, such as: velocity, terminal ballistics, and if any agency is using this load in their 40s.

Appreciate any help before I commit to this "carry load".

Thanks Tom

The 135 HST is an over run from a federal LE agency. There is some Ranger 135 JHP out there as well, same deal. It has a b bit less recoil but it is a little too light on penetration for me to trust it enough for carry. I have seen the 135 HST version for sale at WalMart.

Thanks guys for the replies. Looks like a doable round. Long time since I purchased factory, wow!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Spendy.
