I'm wanting to buy some 22LR ammo, and the local farm and home store has the 525 round box of Federal Champion for $18.

I like the price, about $.035 per round...

But, is the ammo really good?

I think it's a good round in value offerings and shoot it regularly in my 10/22 and in my Browning Camper as a practice round.

I'm towards the bottom of a box right now. It shoots, but roughly 5% of the casings will not eject from my 10/22 or M22A. Also about 5% are duds. OK for plinking at that price.

I went through a bunch of that and was very happy with it. Now all I can find is the 550 carton of Federal ".22 Value Pack" for $14.97 at Walmart (it's OK too). I don't remember many duds at all (nothing like Remington).

I've shot quite a few boxes of that ammo and I'm happy with it. It works well in my bolt action, lever action and semi-auto rifles...

I have shot quite a bit of that ammo in both semi auto pistols and revolvers. Very reliable, ignition failures are almost non existent.
