In another thread a member posted, in part:

... I found a really great little 36 no dash in the local gun store and bought it ... I keep Federal Hydra Shock 110 grain JHP in it for personal defense. ... I think the round I carry is a good defense round, especially from 7-9 feet....mine is a 2" and distances above that range probably would cause me to go in the opposite direction given the chance.

This is the round that I have loaded in my J and K frame 38s too.

Do any of you have an opinion of this ammunition and, if so, why?

Thanks.

I used to carry it, but found better ammunition out there so I switched. It is low recoil as advertised, and I suppose it would be OK for someone with a non +P rated gun. It seems like a LSWC would be a better choice though from a penetration point of view.
