Feeling kind of snubby today

Cobbled this up the other day using a new comp barrel I found on GB for $65 and a new factory spurless hammer I had in the bin.
Stuck a Big Dot on as a placeholder...

Locking bolt pin salvaged from the original barrel was obviously too short. I've since made a new pin to fit the underlug with nicely domed ends.

Cheers
Bill

Stonebuster, yours and mine were likely on the assembly line very close together. Serial on mine is C124xxx.
Quite a coincidence we both have guns that came off the line so closely, we have bdays very close & we're both going to be 75, days apart. I think we had this conversation before. My snub serial # is C1241XX. Happy birthday in advance. Mine's 9/10.

That's pretty cool. I've got a model 38 that was tagged as being from the Puerto Rico State Police. No markings on the gun other than a little rust and a lot of carry wear. Very cool piece!
Thanks. The 10-7 Peru (1984) contract never shipped. Peru reorganized their LE agencies and cancelled the contract. S&W made them available to dealers ones in US.

3 hundred-ish apart. Maybe we did discuss this, but at our ages, do we know?
If yours lettered to early September, then it came out of the warehouse after mine, even though numbered 300 less.
Always an example of the rule that S&W never shipped in serial order or actual date of build.
Mine's 9/14, so I shipped four days after you...
