Read an interesting article in a recent gun magazine written by Massad Ayoob whom I read and trust in his knowledge unlike some other gun rag writers....The article was about what would you do if you came across a female about to shoot, knife or try and kill you or someone else....Would you shoot as fast as you would a male perp?....I'm talking about a citizen with a CCP not a Police officer as I know their training would kick in no matter what the sex or even a child with a firearm pointing at them, thats their job and I for one am glad they are there to do it....(Thank all you police officers and fire fighters for what you do).....My question is would you as a legally armed citizen fire on a female as fast as you would a male which made me really think about it....I'm not so sure I would,...I was always taught that a man should never try to harm or strike a female and if it came down to it I think I might just hesitate a second which might just get me killed but I really think I would...If the perp was a man there would be no hesitation at all on my part to fire back first....What do y'all think???

Interesting choice of words.You refer to your self and the perp. as a Man.You refer to the woman as a female.I was always taught to never hurt a "Lady".
You are right sir, let me rephrase that, I was taught that a man should never harm a Lady but if that Lady had a gun and started to point it in my direction I really think in my heart of hearts that I might hesitate longer than if the perp was a gentleman....hows that...

To answer the question, I might have a longer delay on pulling the trigger on a woman - particularly if the view was good.

as for myself ... I might be a little quicker on the trigger than I would against a man. Yeah I got the treatment of a lady memo kicked into my backside as hard and deep as anyone here.
Ive also seen plenty of women first hand that are evil personified. Deeper into the evil range than any man I have met. What is worse is that the female of the species, existing in the evil range of personality type, has no use for reason. She will commit to deadly force faster than anyone. As such, she must be dealt with in a more expedient manor than most males

I would shoot quicker than with a man. When a woman 'goes off' they seem to do it more intensely, more emotionally and more passionately. I keep thinking of Clara Harris, the woman who ran over her husband repeatedly while his daughter was in the car with her. I have no doubt if she had a firearm she not only would have shot him, but shot him multiple times. I also remember Lorena Bobbitt. Back in high school(46 here) if two guys got into a fight they fought until one won the fight and it ended there. With the girls they seemed to try to literally kill each other and it never stopped with the one fight.

Anyone who spent any time in that green hell of Viet Nam would not and could not be reluctant to shoot an armed woman or child if he wanted to come home alive. Those who hesitated were sent home in a box.

I came out alive. A buddy of mine spent the rest of his military career in a military prison for fatally shooting a VN civilian lady that was armed.
There were a lot of armed people both here and there but we did not run around shooting them.

I read the article a few days ago and thought it very good, I spent the last 18 years or so working in a female prison. Let me tell you they are women out there who WILL NOT hesitate to kill you or your loved ones and then laugh about it.
Some look like gun molls, some look like models some look like the innocent child or grandmother but they all have taken a life. Mostly for profit or revenge. I have one out there who in 1989 was a beauty quenn pageant winner, she garrotted her ex's new girlfriend. We have a young woman who at 15 years old helped in a home invasion of an elderly couple, her and her friends tortured the couple on camera until they were dead.
So don't let gender or age fool you.
