FFL FEE

$50-75 around me. I could get it for less, if I was willing to drive an hour. I gotta get outa here......

20 to 25 per gun. Yeah, I know, I should use someone that charges it per transaction, but I tend to let things pile up so I suppose that I'm paying a storage fee.

most of the shops in California seem to charge about a C-Note, with $30 of that going to the State for the DROS fee. I have heard there is a shop in Ventura County that does transfers for $35. It is almost enough savings to drive the three hours+ to do a transfer.

The FFL I use for internet and out-of-state purchases/transfers charges $20. He is a "kitchen table" FFL; he doesn't stock merchandise, but can order most guns. Other shops in the area charge $25 and $35 for transfers.

In my area of CA it's $35 for the first gun, $25 for any additional on the same purchase date.

Man, thats nice Mickey.

My guy charges $15 per gun, there are guys in my are that are $10 per transaction but are farther away, I know of several that charge $45-50 because they don't want to do them. (So I help them by not doing mine there)

The dealer that I use only charges $10 which is a steal! The last time I checked at another shop closer to me charged $35.

Most of the places around here charge $25.00 but, we do however have one pawn shop owner that charges the 25 and then some sort of a fee on top of that and also tax (I suppose that is tax on the amount you paid for the gun) cause you can't charge tax on services as far as I know. Needless to say I do not use that shop.

A question for folks in California:

How would you sell/ship a rifle to another state? I am watching an auction by a private individual for a Californina legal semi auto rifle. Do you have to take the rifle to a FFL dealer and have him ship it? In Montana I would just take it to the Post Office and mail it to the FFL holder after receiving the payment and paper/faxed/emailed copy of the FFL. Would a $100 fee, including shipping be normal?
