Does anyone know who makes the fiber optic sights for the following pistols?
1) M&P 2.0 .40 Pro Series Full Size
2) Shield Plus 9mm Performance Center

Want to have some extra fo rods on hand for them, but not sure who to order from.

Thank you.

Thank you, that’s helpful.

I figured they were possibly were universal, thought if I know who makes them I’d be able to track the info down about which rods to order.

Thought the maker may be an easier question to ask rather than the size. However, it was late and my thinking may have been flawed.

On the Hi Viz site, they sell a fiber optic replacement kit for the Shield. I ordered it myself, for my PC Shield Plus.

Their light pipes lock in, so the plastic is cut and shaped to do that.

Dawson, Hiviz, Truglo, and Williams all make fiber optic sights for the M&Ps you have. Amazon has FO rods as well. As the others stated all you need is the diameter of the FO rod.

Have you actually looked at the light pipes in the Hi Viz sights? They are not the same as other fiber optic sights.

In other sights, you cut the fiber piece and heat up both ends.

On the S&W Hi Viz sights, they are precut and shaped with a notch to lock into place. The Hi Viz website sells replacement light pipes. Are they over prices? Yea.

MAYBE you can put in normal fiber optic tubing and heat them like normal sights. But, as 1 end is pretty tiny for their proprietary system. Plus, they have metal spirals that protect the rods, so it would be harder to cut them and remove.

The best way is to buy those replacement pieces.

Very helpful, they have a kit for the SP.

Gotta look at these M&P .40 FO sights and figure them out. May post a pic on here, the rear one’s elevation is adjustable.

I’m very gun experienced, but I was always more old school with just plain old black iron sights on my pistols. I really like the go sights just never had to work on them & want to be prepared.

Yes shipwreck I have and you are spot one with the Hiviz being proprietary. And the metal around the tube. I didn't mention that in my reply. The others that I own are just straight FO tubes that can be heated and locked into place. Just making the point the FO I run on my IDPA rig is not shielded and has held up for years. Lots of options out there.

Just a thought, did you try calling S&W??
I needed some green ones to replace the red ones for my Springfield 1911 and they sent me some right away.
