It has taken me awhile to sit and write this, with no pain and surrounded by the family, my beautiful wife of 53 years passed last Thursday.

We were fortunate to be able to bring her home and administer hospice care here at the house. Although she was getting worse every day...SHE KNEW SHE WAS HOME and she smiled.

I will miss my best friend, my confidant, my wife and Mother but we had time to say goodbye.

In one of her last lucid moments as I was by her bedside, I got choked up, she was able to look and me and said " Stop that or I'll reach up and slap you silly."

She fought to the end...

And I Will Miss Her..:(

Ditrina, very sorry to hear that your beloved wife of 53 years has passed on. I send my prayers for her eternal peace, and for you in this most difficult time.

I’m so sorry to hear that. The hardest thing to do is what you went through. I have nothing as far as words go, but I’m very sorry. You’ve got a lot of people here that got your back. It’s hard to try to find peace, but you know she has. I’m sorry from the bottom of my heart.

Sal, I have walked in your shoes and can only offer my prayers and knowledge that although it doesn't seem like it today, you will adapt. That is not to say the feeling of loss will ever go away, because it won't. But you will learn to accept it and live with it. Remember, as long as she is in your heart, she is still here.

Your comrade in sorrow, :(
Tom S.

Prayers for you and the family. Our condolences on your wife's passing, Sal.
Very very sorry to hear. Glad your friends and family will be there to help.

We are saddened by this news. We will pray for you both for now and that you may be together again forever someday in the future. Remember the good times. Keep the faith.
