...and a fair amount, too. Probably looking at near 0.5" on my side of the valley by the time it moves out tonight. Dread to think what has been going on with the burn scars in California.

I opened my bedroom drapes to find a layer of SNOW all over the place,
this morning.
Mixed rain & snow all day, with a light snow falling at 4:12pm this Thursday evening.

I need to go out shopping tomarrow, I hope it clears up.

The Calif fires should under control or out by now, I hope.

I real gully washer here in the Sierras. Not bitching, just hunkered down. Still raining as I type. My Fisher wood stove is doing it's job.

The land between us and the coast squeezes out a good amount of the moisture before it gets here, so our rain was mostly steady and gentle. It did got from 0600 to 2000, so it added up pretty well. Just guessing but at my house we probably got about 0.75".

Wow...that's hard to imagine. Couple feet of snow on the ground here, Nor'easter coming this weekend could dump two more. I wish I could send some of our water where it's needed.

Wow 214 days without rain, is that a record?

No, Farmer, we had 240 days w/o rain in 2020. I lost track, I thought it had been in 2022 or '23. Normal yearly rainfall in LV should be about 3" (that's three!). Don't know what good it does: when the water authority is asked, they reply the rain has not helped the water level in Lake Mead.

It will stay that way;
as long as LA keeps watering their side walks and streets with run off water,
every 4-5 days a week !!

Reno is 3 days only, 8-11 and 2-5pm due to heat and water supply on hand, to SAVE water.
No 2" water supply lines to the house.
