Finally back to the range

It’s been a year since I last visited a range here, dealing with a frozen shoulder and a severely arthritic thumb kept me away from my hobbies. Had thumb surgery in fall (a joint was removed and replaced with tendon) and the frozen shoulder has been healing. So while I have a long way to go in thumb rehab and my other shoulder is bad (the joys of getting old lol) I was able to sneak out today. Could only spend a half hour as the mentioned bad body parts had enough at that point but man was it good to get shooting again. I can say the first target was the best but I didnt care, just needed to be there.
And I have to add, I continue to be impressed with my EZ9 Shield. Dang that shoots well and yes is easy to operate.

Good for you! Getting back on the range is a real step forward. Maybe get yourself a .22 LR understudy for the pistols you most enjoy. That will very likely allow you to have more good time at the range as you rehab your hand, etc. It was a great help to me when I was recovering from a broken left hand. Sincerely. bruce.

Thx! I have a handful of 9’s and 22’s and usually at the range rotate a bit to make sure I am confident with all. And I enjoy them all. Had the Victory with me today and that as always was a piece of cake to shoot and manipulate. Mainly was focusing on the 9 as that has a more important role. While still being fun at the range. So overall today I was pleased and look forward to going again now.

I have similar issues and after firing my 9mm I have to change to my 22lr for a while much easier to shoot.

Thats my usual range visit plan, I start with the 9’s for practice, switch to 22’s for fun then finish with a mag or two from a 9 again to end on a good note.
