Finally discovered K frames

I have two K frames, A 2.5" and a 6". Trying to fill the hole with a 4" right now. I shoot them both very well. The 6" is the real shooter though. Everyone that shoots it always remarks about the accuracy. Balance is perfect for a target revolver. I've seen people break clays with it at 75 yards. I can't do it but I've seen it done. Holy mackerel Kingfish!

Finally discovered K frames

Sir, good for you:D Bad for the rest of us, who now have one more person looking for our favorite frame size, in a shrinking market:(.

Everyone, please don't let this guy know how cool 2 1/2" - 3" barreled round but K frames are;).

P.s. welcome to the forum.

didnt know they made any/too many 3" guns in K frame

My friend love those 66s , but a model 10/13 in my smallish hands fits like a glove , hits like a club! ...WHO LOVES YA BABY (KOJACK)

oh the misery, saw a 66-1 snubnose today but no more gun money until after the holidays :(

I thought you were talking about the pre model 14, the pre model 15 & the K 22. But your off to a great start there congrats.

good information for me

I picked up my first K-frame about 20 years ago. A 10-6 ex-LEO for $150. It was an impulse buy and literally sat in a kitchen door for a few months. Once I pulled it out and re-discovered shooting a revolver, I got the bug. Got a half dozen now with a sprinkling of J, L & N frames.

Recently I was moved to rescue a stainless .357 at a pawn store...well I was bitten and since have picked up a nice 64-3 and an abused 65-2 that I think will clean up all right.

I believe that my second S&W was a 66 no dash. It cemented the biting that took place when I picked up a well used Model 19-4.

And then the bites caused a sickness, which quickly turned into a terminal disease when I picked up my first pre-war K-22. Then I had to have the boxes, the tools, the paperwork, the brochures...

Just a few of the K-22's:

So...my advice, IMMEDIATELY SELL ALL OF YOUR S&Ws!!! STOP VISITING THIS FORUM and STAY AWAY FROM GUNBROKER, OTHER AUCTION SITES and LOCAL GUN STORES.:eek::eek:

Otherwise, recognize that "resistance is futile", check the forum at least once a day, surf all of the major gun auction websites for value priced S&Ws, start looking for correct boxes/grips/paperwork etc, and enjoy your "assimilation" into the most enjoyable disease known as Smith & Wesson. :):D:cool:

BTW - love the 64, 65, 66 you've already collected.

Thanks for sharing,

I've only been accumulating S&W's for a couple of years. Reading this thread I had to stop and use my fingers to count my K's. K22(2), K32, K38, M14, M53, M65, M66. How many's that? I guess I'm a fan, or at least I find it exceptionally hard to let one lay on a shelf at a gun store.

After I bought the first one I started looking for a M19. I still haven't found the "right" one yet.
