I gave my wife a new snow shovel for Christmas. She was so unappreciative of her last snow shovel I gave her 20 years ago that she wore it out. A little gift-wrapping tip for the future, no matter how you wrap it and no matter how many bows you put on it, it still looks like a snow shovel under the Christmas tree.

When my grandfather retired in 1981 he moved to Kimberling City and had snow like that twice. He passed away in 1986. Nice area I visited him in 1982 while on vacation.

You know how you turn a dish washer into a snow shovel?

Buy her a shovel!

(I've gotten myself into loads of trouble with this joke.)

We have snow in balmy Texas, too. However, I save Mrs. swsig the aggravation of shoveling by reminding her that in balmy Texas, it melts fairly quickly.

My wife enjoys shoveling snow too, as long as it is in July.....

Taken out my back door at Amarillo, Texas yesterday. Small flakes, no wind, and snowed all day and official total was 10.5 inches at the Weather Bureau. I measured 9 1/2 to 10 inches before dark last night. North winds got up around dark and more snow, but not much. Today the sun came up, not a cloud in a hundred miles. Some melting but not much.
