Finally. I give you, my GRAIL gun. 27-2 3 1/2".... It's BLUE!!

Winner, Winner, Chicken Dinner!! That is about as complete as a package can come. Had the prices increased over the ones from 3 years ago?

I can safely say... Yep! ;)

Truly a really nice model 27. Congratulations, and thanks
for the great pictures. Don't forget to tell us how good it shoots.
teesur.

Won't be shooting this one. I have a 5" Blue that I shoot and the 8 3/8" as well. (See post coming up...)

CONGRATS BOB!!!!!!

So........Now your DONE, Right? :)

P.S., I'd like a new Deer Picture thread soon! :D

Ya know, the thought did enter my mind, (I have a few ;)) but if I said yes, I'd be lying. :D

Vongrats - it really looks NIB.

Now you need a pre-27 or two in shooter grade:

Yes I do. :) These are the two that I do shoot occasionally. Both were NIB at the time so it took a while to do the deed. I shot the 8 3/8" first, followed by the 5". The both currently look about the same, as pictured. :) If I find a semi-shooter grade 3 1/2", I'll snag one. ;)

Thanks John. Yep. It feels like I won a $40,000 Lottery! ;) Good thing because that's what I got in it! :D (well, not that much!)

Rags, I read the title of your thread. It's way generous of you to give that beautiful revolver to us here on the Forum. I don't mind waiting my turn at ownership; just let me know which Forum member is ahead of me in line, so I'll recognize the name on the package when it arrives from him, and also let me know who I'm supposed to pass it on to next, OK? In the meantime, I'll be stocking up on some ammo to shoot from it.:D

I'm not a revolver guy yet, but thanks to your generous gesture, this is a great time for me to start being one.:) And blue happens to be my favorite color, so this is all just about the best karma I could have ever imagined.:D

Right you are, Bob!

You are so right! It would be like.......like........running a vintage Ferrari down a freshley tarred street, or even worse, a street with salty melting snow. I have a pair of soft cotton gloves that I wear when handling one of those, and I take my wedding band off as well, just in case. Like I said earlier in the PM, they are works of art, and a monument to American workmanship of that era. They are both just plain beautiful, and your photos are oustanding as well. David

Wow! Just Wow!!! I'd have sold my 1st born for that beauty. I believe I'd wear the blue off that thing just admiring and handling it. To me, it's strange how the 3 1/2" N Frames look so much better than a 3" or 4". I'm happy for you, rags :)

I woke up and was relieved...

No problem. When I was married, I'd just switch sides of the bed with my wife ;)

Congrats on your find. You've got yourself a nice one. And, I'm happy to hear that you're actually going to shoot it. That's what they were made to do.
