Went to the Houston Gun Collectors Association gun show today with a friend. We walked around the show and close to the beginning I came across a 27-2 3.5 incher in the presentation case with the tools. I walked the show and returned to the booth to check it out again. I really wanted it but didnt have the money. The next thing I know my friend was pulling out cash and bought the gun for me. I was in shock. Ive wanted one of these for a long time, but never had the money when they were available. The seller was a forum member here, so a big thanks to Xfuzz for having the gun for sale. I am so happy!

What fabulous acquisition. Congratulations.

Congrats, that's a beautiful gun. I've always wanted one. You got lucky, xfuzz didn't wanna sell that thing a month ago! Lol

Now that's a friend to ride the high country with.

Nice acquistion.

Well done sir!. I'd be very happy with that acquisition as well. As pretty as it is, you owe it to yourself to put a few rounds through it.

Bravo. Good for you. May you enjoy it for many years. And to have such good friends besides that! You are blessed.

Xfuzz, I am glad you were able to keep it in the family if you know what I mean.

Xfuzz did keep repeating over and over that he hated to see it go, I even think I felt him tug back as he handed me the box. Lol.

It sounds like everyone made out today. Congrats to both of you.

Nice score! Would you please introduce me to your friend? I need a new friend! :D

I took her to my range today and was very pleased. I had 50 handloads i made a few months back and 50 rounds from a small local ammo manufacturer. 8" hanging steel plates were no problem at 25 yards at a brisk pace. Easily one of the best actions on any S&W revolver I have. Well the gun at the top of my list has been scratched. I guess next up is to find a 3" 625. Saw one of those yesterday too, but he wanted to much for the cosmetic condition it was in. I still wish I would have gotten his information.

I had a 3.5" -2 and traded it off. BIG mistake! Don't do the same as me as you WILL regret it! Within 2 months I bought another in better condition and with the box for $559.00. Gent didn't know what he had and this one's staying. Shoots like a .38 with 158 gr. HCLSWC's loaded on the warm side.

Congrats on your 27! Keep it and shoot the booger. XFuzz is a good guy with a wealth of knowledge.

My first post since my motorcycle wreck on my precious Tour Glide and glad to see some familiar names here on the forum. Wreck put a big dent in my buying power as they put me back together with metal in my hip/femur, ankle, elbow and shoulder. I'm back to work and loving it. Now a 27-2 in nickel. My Holy Grail revolver. Anyone want to sell theirs to a titanium filled S&W fan? Shooter grade preferred.

Had a Nickle 27-2 in nickle and sold it several years ago. Sorry.

Glad you are doing OK.

The summer before last a friend was in Pigeon Forge, TN for a family reunion on his Harley. An elderly woman cut across a 4 lane in front of him and he hit her rear passenger door. He hurt his knee as he flew over her roof. He cusses helmets but it saved his gourd a millisecond later. He was rendered unconscious. He recovered and while getting checked out they discovered he needed heart stints immediately. The wreck ended up saving him.

If there is any humor in this, and yes he can smile now, when asked about the wreck, the little lady said wreck, what wreck? The policeman said the one that left the harley 1/2 way in her backseat.
