Find of the century!!!

We've agreed the hunt is a big part of the experience. Perhaps it's dry in your area because you've already bought 'em all?

Have you considered "catch and release" which would let the hunt continue? :D
LOL!!!!!! :D There's more truth in that statement than you know. :p I just did another southern swing yesterday through Little Rhody hitting every shop I could think of. I scored a couple desirable magazines, but that was it. Only 3rd Gens I came across were all repeats... guns held over since my last visit. ;) And even then, there were practically none left... certainly nothing I was interested in and Lord knows no bargains. :( Even some crazy high-priced consignment items had sold. :o

I did find a couple interesting vintage S&W revolvers, but they were (and no surprise) insanely over-priced. :(

So one person's "Find of the Century" is a big yawn to others. ;) Well, I say all power to the OP! :D Anytime I find a desirable 3rd Gen in "as-new-in-box" condition and at a bargain price, I get all giddy too! :p

Someday, I hope to find my very own "Find of the Century"... but maybe I'll just keep it secret after this! :p

Just keep in mind that this century is only 19 years old...

The problem is that I am hideously old and not in great health... so there is no saying how far into this century I'm going to get. ;)

I still buy green bananas, but I always buy one yellow one... just in case. :D

Wasn't intended that way. I really love the old Smith semi autos, so this was a huge find for me. I could easily buy all of the ones I want from gunbroker, but I prefer to find them in the wild as they come available. It's a hobby for me. To find this pistol in an unfired condition was a big deal to me. I'll try to withhold my excitement in the future.

There's no need to apologize, or hold back when you're overjoyed about a purchase, or anything else. Pay no attention to snide stuff.

I felt the same way about a pristine, unfired 15-3 in an estate consignment, and may well have engaged in a bit of hyperbole myself. :D
