Finding lost items.

I once lost a cell phone in my pants pocket. The embarrassing part was I was warring the pants at the time. It is really a long story, having to do with new cargo pants and a cross country, EARLY, morning flight.

Oh, I do have the original grips for that model 36 but its a round butt and I have big hands. Hence the firestones. However: I own a mint 1950 target .44 special that for whatever reason I took the smaller service grips off and put cokes on it. That was about 40 years and two moves ago and I have never found them!

A few years ago my Mom was still living alone. She called me and asked me to come over as she 'lost' her eyeglasses and just had to go to the grocery store which she couldn't do without the eyeglasses. I arrived and we started thru the entire house. She kept her house warmer than I did and after awhile I needed a glass of cold water. I opened the fridge and sure enough there lay her glasses on a shelf. I suggested to her to look in the fridge first from then on. :-) ............. Big Cholla

I am fortunate in that I have a relationship with Someone Who knows where everything is. All I have to do is as in faith believing, not waiver, and listen. Then make sure to thank Him.

This is a real problem for me and it gets worse with every passing year. Sometimes I actually give up on finding an item and replace it or just get along without it only to find it again months or years later. When it comes to things like sunglasses, keys, wallet etc If it wasn't for Miss Pam I don't know what I'd do. It I didn't have her I'd be found frozen/starved to death in the middle of my darkened living room naked with none of my possessions around me.

My only consolation is putting on a jacket or coat for the first time since the previous winter and finding a double saw buck in the pocket. But even that is a rare thing now a days. I just went through all my jacket pockets a week ago and no luck.

I sold my pre-64 model 70 in 375 H&H. I am sorry I did it, why did I really want a couple of Pythons and Cash? I had a super nice Leupold 1-4 scope on it that did not go with the gun. I wrapped the scope in a plastic shopping bag and it sit on my dresser a couple of days.

Several years later I remembered it and looked every where for it. Yes even the sock drawer. I always put stuff in the gun safe. I took a flashlight and moved almost everything. No Scope. Several more years went by. I was retiring and we were moving. Pack everything up. I kept an eye out for the scope. In one corner of the safe my grandfathers 1884 Springfield 45-70 sits. In the dark corner behind the barrel, sitting vertical, was the scope. Felt like Christmas.

Now I have this neat scope but do not remember what I was going to put it on......
