I've got a Tyler T-Grip on my 642 and it looks a little too "shiney". Is there any way to give aluminum more of a "matte" finish?
There is no cover finish on the polished aluminum models. I have modified this finish on several adaptors. Everything from sand blast (Very rough/stippled) through glass beads, walnut shells, to baking soda (Very Light matte: matches the 300 series silver scandium/aluminum guns well). For the brushed stainless look, I have used "Comet" cleanser and various grit scotchbrite pads. Only polish in one direction. They can also be machine polished shiney enough to see yourself for niclkle guns. Slim
