Firearm You Would Really, Really Like To Have

My short list of S&Ws:

3rd Model 44 HE, blue, 5 inch.
Pre-war .38/44 HD, blue, 5 inch.
.38/44 Outdoorsman, blue, 6 1/2 inch.
Model 35.
Don't have to be collector grade, just decent looking shooters.

Other than that, just whatever I run across that stikes my fancy. ;)

In the past couple of years I've developed a real fondness for the .44 Special. Have purchased, shot, reloaded and played with a couple. I'd be a real happy camper if I could get my hands on one of Elmer's pieces of history.

JimmyJ, I used to have franks auto biography "I am frank hamer". Dont have it anymore.

There are several copies available on Amazon. BTW, that book is not an autobiography. It was written by H. Gordon Frost and John Holmes Jenkins.

A Colt "Monitor", NIB. You might as well throw in a few extra magazines and a case or two of ammo.

A really nice, English double rifle, boxlock, probably either a Rigby or William Evans in 450/400 NE 3", 25" barrels. In working rifle style, not highly ornate and engraved all over. I think used but in really nice condition, they are going for something like $40,000-50,000, or maybe a bit more.

Gatling Gun. Colt will make one to the original specs for a mere $50,000.00, although that was the price a couple years ago.

Not even a NFA item since it requires a turn of the crank for each shot.

Hmmm. The next thing on the purchase list is an IWI Tavor, but the truly stupid thing I'd like (even though I have absolutely no use for it) is a Barrett in .50 BMG. As a result, I'll get the Tavor and call it good.

686+ Snubby, 686+ 3", 686+ 4", .460V, 629 4", and a 617 4" kind of just round out the collection and have every caliber...haha
