Me in my freshly restored 1931 Model A roadster. I restored it (every nut and bolt came out) to completely stock while in high school. My grad present was my first years car insurance. It was my everyday car for two years. I sold it in 1978 and bought a Model T which I still have.

In 1967 I got a 1962 Chevy II 4 door plain Jane model, rubber floor, 460 ac and manual tune radio. Blue w/ white top. I was 16, working at Kroger for about $2 an hour, and had a girl friend that loved to get in the back seat. Life was good.

I don't have any pic's either but mine was a 1976 silver VW Beetle with fuel injection. I never new vw had a fuel injection vw motor until I bought mine. After that I bought a baja version vw beetle. Here lately I've been thinking about buying another vw beetle.

Mine was a '69 LTD with a 390/C6 that was more or less equal parts rust and steel. No complaints though, it got me where I had to go and was tough enough to save my bacon when a drunk tried to park his Grand Prix in the trunk.

1982 Mustang G.T., the first year back for the G.T. since 1969. 302 H.O. engine with a four speed that was really a three speed with an overdrive fouth. With 3.08 rear gears, it was top end unlimited, even with the factory two barrel. I've had seven Mustangs since I bought that first one in 1987, and I really can't enjoy anything but a Ford product. I've had Toyotas, Nissans, and Mazdas, even a nine year stint with a mint 1987 Monte Carlo SS Aerocoupe, but NOTHING is as much fun as the Stangs. The one I had and should have kept was a black 2003 Mach 1, complete with functional factory Shaker scoop and all the nostalgic bells and whistles. Probably the fastest of the bunch.
1953 Ford 2-door, black, flathead V-8, three speed standard transmission. Paid $150.00 for it in 1963. I was sixteen years old. It had a cracked block, I bought a remanufactured engine and installed it myself. Removed the seats and had them redone by a guy who came around in a big van and he did upholstery on farm trucks. I had a black car with red and white vinyl seats. I thought I really had something!

HA!!! I thought I was the only one!!! Mine was a 66 Rambler American. It was a retired telephone company car. Three on the tree, olive drab, but it had a fold-down bench seat up front. That sure came in handy.

My first car was another 1970 VW. However in my case it was a Sedan and not a Beetle. BTW, the difference between the Sedan and the Beetle in 1970 was the option package. In 1971 the Super Beetle became the Sedan and the Beetle was retained in the line as a typical cheap bare bones driver. Mine had all the bells and whistles, sunroof, pop our rear windows, and an FV 1600 stripe kit, color was Cobalt Blue with the white interior. I flat out loved that car, it had the double jointed rear axles and was a pretty good handling car. Unfortunately, in 1979 rust had taken it's toll and I ended up selling to someone who wanted to build a dune buggy for a hundred bucks. I still regret making that choice but the money went towards a 1976 Curlass Supreme that was a chick magnet.
My first new car was a 1985 Monte Carlo SS and I still have it. It's got a bit more than 230K on the clock and I restored it in 1999 and put a new powertrain into it. Which created some issues. What I have learned is that you just can't rely on any aftermarket repair shop to build any major component as well as the factory did. I have also learned that you either have to be freaking rich or a freaking idiot to restore any automobile.

My first car was a 1957 Chevy,4 door, 6cylinder,3 on the tree.It was a fun car to have with holes in the front floor pan, and no rear seat. I was going to restore it and had started buying the replacement parts when I ran across a deal on a 1965 Chevelle. I should have kept both of them.

Mine was a '57 Chevy wagon. I was a surfer, and had to have a place to carry the boards. It was painted bright yellow with a brush. I scraped all of the thick yellow paint off and primered it in dark grey. It looked better that way.

My first car to drive was the family white '66 Mustang 289 automatic shared with my foster sister.
The first car I purchased myself as an adult (don't laugh) was a 5 speed '89 Bronco II. At the time it was very practical for hauling dogs and kids. Gave it to daughter at driving age and I got the new car-a '95 5 speed GT Mustang. Traded that one in two years later for a barely used '96 5 speed black Mustang Cobra. Still have it with just under 125,000 miles on it. Sorry, no pictures to share, but I've really enjoyed seeing the others, thanks.

I worked all summer for my Uncle Darrel the summer I was 15 buccarooing down on the desert. The deal was $5 a day and board. That was 1963, he worked my tail offall summer long. When it came time to quit and head back to school I thin I was owed $500 or so.
My Aunt Mick started teasing him about being a cheap skate etc and that he should pay me "Some more". He stuck to the "A deal is a deal". At some point she got angry with him, went over and got her keys off the counter and threw them to me. "The cheap SOB can just buy me a new car". I drove off in her black 1956 Crown Victoria Coupe.
That fall I swapped it to a buddy for a 1954 Ford F100 and $200!!! Heck, the Vicky was a lousy hunting vehicle. ;-) She teased me about selling HER car for the next 40+ years.
It was also the first of many really bad deals I've made over the years on cars.

Looking for pics but mine was a 74 sport satellite . parked it in my moms garage around 82-83 and thats where she sits rusting away . I now own a 68 sport satellite .
