Me either I'm left handed and everything I draw leans left, sure my stitching would too lol

Well everything worked fine on the test shoot today. Shot at about 10 yards shot some very nice groups. Only ammo I had was federal 158 gr. LRN very controllable even rapid fire all stayed well inside kill zone on man targets. Came away quite impressed with the little gun. Only thing that irked me was the 158's shot about 1-2 inches right every group, but at the distance it would be relied on I guess that's nothing to worry about at bad breath range.

That would make it right over the aggressor's heart, right?

Congratulations on acquiring the J frame. I wanted one for years and finally got a Model 638 Airweight a couple years ago. Fun to shoot. Too bad Hawaii don't allow CCW as a J frame revolver is nice to have.

Well I finally broke down and De- locked it today. Was actually very simple following one of the many you tube videos. I'm a little concerned about legal problems if heaven forbid I ever had to use it, but I decided death penalty prolly better than getting stabbed to death cause my gun locked up lol. Anyways I figure in my neck of the woods in most likely wouldn't be a problem if it was a clean shoot here in the deep south. Also put some grips on her too. Ajax imitation ivory, really wanted some nice Sambhar stag handles but they cost almost as much as the gun

My 442 goes everywhere I go in one of my own homemade holsters.

A friend goes to all the local Goodwill stores and buys old cowboy boots. He uses the tops to manufacture custom holsters - - - some are works of art!

Don't worry about the legal ramifications about removing the lock. It is a "storage device".

They actually fit very well I'm pleased with them. Gonna shoot it this weekend. See if I like the recoil with them , or the factory grips better.

Congrats on the 442. I've had mine a few months, wear cargo shorts mostly and it spends more time on me than anything else. I've found a little Quest brand woven type holster can't even say it was made for revolvers but it pockets perfect. It's been the perfect little da revolver. Hope you like yours as well

Try Pat Grashorn if you want some nice stag grips. He can do as much or as little bark as you want, with or without medallions. Not cheap, but not as expensive as Sambar. Home

My 1st J was in July as previously mentioned. Yesterday at the local gun show I picked up a 3" Model 36. Matching numbers, and original box. Ship date not pinned down yet, late 50's to 1960. Nice diamond grips, clean gun. Bob

I shot it yesterday to make sure it would function after removing the lock, just to make sure I didn't screw anything up. I worked fine. I may put the rubber grips back on cause I just shot it better with those. With these slick grips my groups just went to **** honestly lol. It was much more difficult to control. I like the way they look better, but if I can't shoot as good with them I guess no sense in keeping them on it

You might want to try a BK grip adapter with them, they help a lot with similar style of stocks.
